Uncertain times for abortion as clinics close, new law nears
1. Category of problem: Health
2. Level of problem: Texas State
3. This article concerns: Abortion laws becoming stricter
4. Importance/effect on families/individuals: In the state of Texas, abortion laws have been changing over the past months, these laws are becoming less flexible and are about to be enforced.
My input: In this article, abortion laws are said to be enforced strictly throughout Texas, as they have closed down four clinics and perhaps more clinics will be closing down very soon. These new laws will be enforced in six weeks and it will affect many individuals, depending on their circumstances. Even though, Perry thinks he is doing the right thing by prohibiting abortion in the state of Texas, many individuals do not perceive it in a positive manner since many women could face a bad situation and many clinics are being forced to close and jobs are being lost. Being so close for these laws to be enforced we can only hope for the best and for these politicians to understand what women have to go through when faced with these situations.
